An event benefitting Global Village Project
Global Village Project is a tuition-free, nonprofit middle school for refugee young women. GVP bridges the communities of Clarkston, where many refugee families settle when they first arrive in Georgia, and Decatur, where our school was founded in partnership with Agnes Scott College and Decatur Presbyterian Church. We are excited to be hosting our 5th Annual Connecting Communities Walk on November 4th, a 4.8 mile walk along the PATH Trail from Clarkston to Downtown Decatur that aims to engage these two communities - both so integral to our history, our mission, and to the lives of our students.
Every dollar we raise by walking helps provide life-changing educational opportunity to refugee young women at GVP. Our Connecting Communities Walk is growing. Last year, we increased the number of participants by 25%. This year, with your help, we hope to bring together 300 walk participants and hold our largest CCW to date!
Thank you for your support of GVP's Connecting Communities Walk!
The Connecting Communities Walk 2017 has ended. Be sure to check Global Village Project's website at www.globalvillageproject.org to keep an eye out for next year's event! We'd also love to have you join us at our Author's Teas throughout the school year. Dates will be announced on our website and through social media and our newsletter.
